Normally three high camps will be established to reach the Summit. Camp I at the height of 5450m, Camp II at 6000m and Camp III at 6350m.
Himlung does not present many technical difficulties as it is not a steep mountain, however any ascent to such a high elevation presents its own challenges and is therefore a significant achievement. The lessons gleaned from an ascent of this mountain will really add to any climber's knowledge and experience of big mountain climbing. This is a superb ascent for people looking to push their altitude experience to a new level or for those who simply want to climb an ‘achievable’ 7000m Himalayan giant.
