Team is enjoying Namche Bazar
Our arrival in Lukla went smooth and on schedule; the weather was perfect!
After a tasty breakfast we left the small town and headed to Phakding where we spend our first night on the trail and the next day we headed to the Sherpa capital Namche Bazar at around 3400m.
Namche almost became my 2nd home; I passed true this village so many times: it’s always nice to meet old friend here and have a few drinks in the Danphe Bar in town. We usually hang out here in the evening. This morning we set off for an acclimatization hike to the Everest View hotel at 3880m. Normally we can see some good views on Everest from here, but today it was snowing! Never the less we did the hike and got the necessary exercise. This afternoon is spend with buying some last supplies and tomorrow we head off to the village of Pangboche at around 4000m.
In Panboche we will get our Expedition blessing from Lama Geshi and continue to Dingboche at 4400m where we again have two rest days.
The team is doing very well and we are having a lot of fun. A lot of us know each other from previous expeditions< because we are an international team and we all have different backgrounds there is always something to talk about!
Slowly we will continue our way in the Khumbu valley, stay tuned for more dispatches!
